In transforming school libraries into learning commons, we have recommend to folks that both in the physical and the virtual learning commons, a transformation of ownership needs to take place. Thus, it is no longer, "If we build it they will come." It is, "If they build it, they will use it." In the design of learning spaces in this book, how is the transformation of ownership accomplished? Bored kids can still be bored in a fancy space as they are in a traditional one.
